Jesse McCartney‘s been busy hitting the road with the Backstreet Boys and making his music comeback with newly released hits like “Back Together” and we couldn’t be more excited.
The 26-year-old, who wraps his tour duties with BSB this Sunday, has received raving feedback for his latest single with fans and critics comparing the former pop star’s sound to Justin Timberlake.
So how does Jesse feel about being compared to music’s hottest man at the moment? McCartney tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest: “When anyone makes a comparison to Justin, I mean, how can you complain about something like that?”
Adding: “It’s definitely taken more on a more mature sound and has that sort of retro throwback feel to it. It’s definitely a fair comparison for sure.”
The singer’s new track “Back Together” as well as another sure-to-be-hit “Tie the Knot” will be available on the singer’s 4 track EP set to be released in October with the full track album dropping later in early 2014.
Until then, download “Back Together” on iTunes here.
